The rainforests are carbon sinks - more than 260 tonnes of CO2 are locked away in each acre. Destroying them releases more climate warming CO2 each year than many countries produce.
Cool Earth is a charity that protects endangered rainforest by using donated money to buy rainforest on behalf of local communities and ensure it is kept safe for generations to come. This combats global warming, protects ecosystems and provides sustainable jobs for local people.
