Think about your carbon footprint
Everyone has a carbon footprint - it's your personal measure of how much carbon dioxide you create and how much you contribute to climate change. The bigger your carbon footprint, the more impact you’re having on the environment and the future of the planet.
Lots of things can contribute to your footprint, like the car you drive (the average family car produces 4.5 tonnes of CO2 every year),* how much energy you use in your home, even the food you buy. But just as there are many ways to increase your carbon footprint, there are also many ways to reduce it. Get on your bike or take public transport to work instead of the car. Use energy saving light bulbs – there are lots of little things we can do - and they all add up!
